27 Weeks

So I'm still hanging in there! I find myself waddling more and more. My belly is really popping out. At the store, the cash register drawer opens automatically when I am ringing up a sale and it surprises me every time and bumps me in the belly!

This week the baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with his legs extended. He's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and perhaps even sucking his fingers. With more brain tissue developing, baby Micah's brain is very active now. While his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if he were to be born now. (So CRAZY) I am trying to do my best to keep him inside for the time being. He has a lot of developing left to do and I am the safest and best place for him. I am in no rush.

I can assure you that baby Micah is very active! His kicks literally rock my whole world. I cannot ignore them. Yesterday in church they were especially strong. I could not keep from giggling out loud! I had Phil put his hand on my belly and he was alarmed by a punch and started laughing too.

The best part of my day is right before Luke goes to bed. I rock Luke and sing to him before putting him in his bed. It is amazing to be able to rock BOTH of my boys at the same time. I treasure these moments because that is the kind of memory that you want to hang onto as a parent. As we are rocking I picture in my mind going to Luke's basketball games etc. (in the future) and feeling so proud. I know that in those moments I will flash back to these special times. They will not always want to rock and sing with mom. I am alright knowing that though...it just makes the memories all the more special!

Look A Likes

My mom found these two expressions to be pretty darn close! Luke is the one of the left and I am the little girl on the right!

Christmas 2006

I found this photo tonight from Christmas 2006! This was during our first year in Bloomington. It is hard to believe that we ever looked that young! As you can see, Sanibel was the apple of our eyes. It is also hard to believe that we are coming up on our last and final Christmas in Bloomington. So much can change in 3 years...

You Decide ?

Is it just me or does pregnancy make me look more and more like my brother Drew?

My brother Drew

Drew and I when I am not pregnant!

It is something in the nose and mouth...you decide!

Toys!

I hijacked the Toy's R Us ad from my parents house last week...

I think that we have found a new favorite past time.

Good daddy!

25 Weeks Pregnant

It was easy to be a pumpkin for Halloween!

25 weeks and feeling great. No more of that morning sickness feeling. I am so very thankful for that! I have been feeling lots of baby movement too. By now baby Micah is almost 2 lbs. and he has his own sleep cycle!

I am pretty much in all maternity clothes now! I tried on a pair of my regular jeans and that was a bad idea. Those will be getting packed away for a while. 3rd trimester here I come!

Elmo Gets Candy

Luke was Elmo for Halloween!

Can you tell that he is happy about it?

Grandma Fishbaugh practiced trick or treating with Luke earlier in the week so he already knows what to do and is raring to go.

All set to go!

We went to Winslow Farms to try trick or treating. We even went to the Gaynors old house!

1st attempt.

He really liked getting candy!

Two pugs dressed as hotdogs!

We went to some friends house from school.

Lili, Drew and Sams' house.

Phil gave Luke a Crunch bar in the car.

We finished the night visiting with Pete, Ramona, and Cochise (the chocolate lab)!

Luke had a blast and so did mommy and daddy. In fact, I don't think that Phil wanted to stop. We eventaully did have to go home because I had chicken in the oven! We had orange chicken for dinner when we got home and candy of course!

Pumpkins

Getting started.

I let Luke draw on the pumpkins with a pen.

Top cutting off!

Snacks for the little guy!

Elmo is done and Phil carves the football.

We gave Luke many options for his pumpkin but he really wanted Elmo!

Luke likes to blow out the candles.

Two carved pumpkins, Elmo wearing a diaper, jacket and slippers, and Luke!

The family.
