I tried to keep Luke out of the POD

The POD was very hot inside!

So we cooled off inside with snacks!

Boys & Bikes

Luke got his first bike recently - although it is actually a trike. He was instantly enamored with it, especially that you can climb onto it on one side and climb off on the other. Sometimes, he just climbs over it without stopping to do anything while actually on it!

Trying to keep his feet on the floor!

What does this thing do?

He hasn't quite figured out how to work the pedals. He can reach the pedals with his shoes on, so we have been practicing pushing the pedals to make it go. I am sure he will catch on soon - and then we will need more space to ride it! Hopefully the weather will finally get nice so we can take it outside to try it out!

We did take the tags off the helmet!

Rainy Day

Luke loves umbrellas. He used to be scared of them, but now when they come out he gets a huge smile on his face. We are not sure what changed, other than that Daddy took him out in the rain one time with the umbrella to splash in some puddles. After that, there was a certain love for umbrellas - the kind of love that instantly brings a quivering bottom lip and tears when the umbrella is put away.

Because of this love, Mommy and Grandma found a set of boots and an umbrella that are just his size. Needless to say, the boots are worn nearly every day, rain or shine, and the umbrella has to go into hiding!

A happy guy!

Opening Day! (2)

I made nachos (by request) for our opening day meal. They are so easy to make and sooooo good! They are easiest to make the day after taco night. I cover the chips with whatever we have left over.

Chips, beef, cheese and tomatoes

Yum!

Phil is so happy with his IBC root beer and hot dog
