11 Months Young

Micah is 11 months today!

His 8th tooth recently made its appearance right before Christmas.

He loves looking at books on his own and having them read. He is all smiles!

Micah is an excellent clapper and he is figuring out the appropriate times to clap. He starts clapping if he hears or sees clapping on t.v., radio, real life, etc.

He pretty much eats everything now except for peanut butter. Big brother knows it too and tries to "share" with him things off his plate. I have to keep both eyes on them!

He cruises all over and can quickly get into the trash, toilet, brothers room in a flash.

He can shake his head yes or no when you ask him a question. We think that he really is communicating with us in this way. It is helpful.

He takes two naps a day. One in the morning about an hour after he wakes up and another one in the afternoon. I think that this is part of the reason he is so happy.

Sanibel still makes him crack up and giggle.

Onto the 12th month!

The Mouse and the Motorcycle

This morning I built a motorcycle.

Luke added the seat and exhaust pipe. But then we needed someone to ride it?

Luke: "Oh, Mr. Mouse is a perfect fit!"

They rode off together!

Then I started thinking about the childrens book "The Mouse and the Motorcycle"

I think he just might like it! (In a few years)

That Mr. Mouse has all the fun.

Personal Savior or Chef?

I put Luke's mattress in his tent so that he could take a nap.

We were playing in his tent and reading books.

Luke randomly said "I have Jesus in my heart"

He has said this multiple times lately.

So I asked him if he wanted to pray with me and ask Jesus into his heart?

He said yes and repeated in prayer after me and asked Jesus to come into his heart!

After we prayed I said so how do you feel?

Luke: "Nice"

Me: "So what do you want to do now?"

Luke: "Ask Jesus to make me some lunch!"

I am not sure what he is thinking?

Maybe he is getting not only a personal Savior but a personal chef?

Christmas Morn

It was fun watching the wonder on Luke's face as he woke up on Christmas morning.

Upon discovery of their gifts, each boy proceeded to play and explore the other boys gift!

Is that what you would call "win win?"

Baby Micah is fascinated with big brothers new bike.

Luke just told us last night that "he really likes his new garage and Baby Micah's Little People Airport."

Luke and his hula hoop. His only request from Santa.

I guess what I am saying is that these boys are easy to please. Phil keeps reminding me that it won't always be this way or this easy.

Santa brings Sanibel a gift!

Lollypop and new IU jersey.

Micah had a blast...

...discovering small bits of paper...

...and eating them...

A Christmas morning mouth swipe.

Isn't that what Christmas is all about?

More fun for mom or baby!

An hour after waking up Micah is ready for a Christmas snooze.

In the midst of everything we noticed that Micah had gone off and found his pacifier and bear and laid down in the beanbag.

Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas 2010

I can say Merry Christmas officially since it is 12:36 AM on Christmas Day and Santa has just visited our house!

My talented friend Alison Gaynor designed the card above. I love her!

We hope that you have a blessed Christmas!

And now for the Christmas picture outtakes.

Cute people (he he) but 2 important Waglers are missing.

I am the only one cheesing!

Both boys eating giant chocolate chip cookies.

Too much smile.

No one is ready?

Too much leg.

Not ready.

Mr. Mouse is trying to steal the show.

Too many pictures and cookies.

No Luke! Take a break and take 25 more.

Blurred.

So finally the last one was decent and we called it quits!

Next year we hire Elmo to take the picture and make everyone smile.
