Cubby Bear

Micah wanted to wear this coat that I found in the back of the closet. It is sized 9 months.

Cubby or Curly?

He walked around forever like this!

Chicago Cubs Game

The Bean in Millennium Park.

Looking straight up from underneath!

Getting excited!

Chicago style deep dish pizza for lunch.

It took 30 minutes to cook the pizza so we had to keep the kiddies busy. They were out of milk so they sent someone over to the 7 Eleven to get some for Luke!

Go Cubs Go!

48 degrees at Wrigley Field.

The kids did great! Really.

Good thing we had blankets, hats and gloves. I spilled hot chocolate on myself but it was the only thing that warmed me up!

Making the most of a disappointing game. Luke was sad that he didn't catch a foul ball.

Phil took some really great close ups but won't let me post for fear of copyright infringements. Apparently Phil loves the cubs so much he does not want to get in trouble with them!

All smiles even though the cubs lost.

MDA Lock Up

Phil showed Luke this picture of him "locked up" for the MDA.

Luke: "Daddy, did you get locked up to make money to put in your bank?"

Phil: "No buddy, I was locked up to raise money for some sick kids so that they can go to summer camp and feel better."

Luke: "Wow daddy, your are an amazing guy!"

Luke, we think that you are an amazing little boy and we can't help but smile and chuckle at your cleverness!

Get Those Veggies in the Ground!

I finally planted my garden yesterday.

My seed tray was busting at the seams and it is time for this mama to step aside and let Mother Nature step in.

They have come a long way baby! I really can't believe how well they have done and acclimated to the outside!

My garden is going to be too small.

Cucumbers, flowers, tomatoes, broccoli, basil, dill and lettuce. I need a twin garden for the rest! I still would like to get some carrots, onions, snap peas, green beans and watermelon in the ground.

Now I just need to get a fence up.

Luke got his very own garden too!

He was pumped!

I tried not to help...

Micah likes attention from Sanibel.

The feeling is mutual.

They love each other!

I like that Sanibel closed her eyes.

Happiness.

Luke planting his seeds.

He made a row with his finger all on his own. I didn't even tell him to do it!

A pile of watermelon seed here, pumpkins there, who knows what will come up?

Watering his garden. He is very good at this!
Humm...I wonder what will come up?

Warmer Weather

The worm sprinkler.

Does Mikey like it?

NO!

Some like getting sprayed in the face...some do not.

Isn't that a terrible face? Don't be fooled. He LOVES it!

He kept saying "My very own backyard clubhouse!"

The simple things.

Micah did not like getting sprayed but Sanibel running around make him squeal!

Splashing in puddles is more his style.

So much entertainment!

So much emotion!

He brought me all of my plants.

I hear ya Micah. Time to get those plants in the ground!
