Sugar Mama Update 2
I was trying to fit into this denim skirt by graduation and I did it! As the days go by it is fitting better and better. I do NOT like this photo of myself at all. I look so awkward!
Maybe using this skirt was a bad idea? I am not sure if I will ever look my best in it! Oh well. Live and learn. Maybe it would look better on someone else...
If I cannot make it work then I will give it away to one of you!

Sugar Mama Update 1
Day 9
I have not had any sweets since last Wednesday when we (Phil and I) finished off the ice cream. I thought is was best to remove the temptation completely. The thing is we had pretty much already finished off most of our Easter candy and other sweet treats anyways. Thankfully.
I must say that I have done very well. I am not the kind of gal that likes to do without so this has been a bit of a challenge for me. Though I AM the kind of gal that likes a challenge...

I have learned some things about myself:
1. I probably had a slight addiction to the sugary treats...the first step is admitting the problem
2. I LOVE fresh rosemary on my eggs
3. I switched my breakfast menu from Mutli-Grain Cheerios with milk to 2 eggs
4. I feel like I have more energy!
5. I discovered this tasty snack:

This is sugar free bread spread with almond butter and fresh strawberries!
So divine, especially when you have not had sugar for 9 days.
You should try it (the snack) sometime.
The best part is I tried my goal skirt on this morning and I manged to close it! It does not look good yet but progress none the less!

Sugar Mama
In January, about a week before Micah was born, I got a great deal on a new denim skirt at Old Navy. It made me feel good at the time to buy something in a "normal" size. It gave me hope. I thought that I would easily fit into it by graduation (May 8)
As you can see, It is not even close to fitting. There is absolutely no way to get it buttoned. So nothing for me to get too upset about...I did have a baby 11 weeks ago and I am feeling good about how I feel and how most of my clothes are fitting. But I am a goal oriented person and I did set this silly goal of graduation and that is 3 weeks from today. Can I do it?

So starting yesterday I have been going without sweets. I am a full time breastfeeding mom so dieting would really be a bad idea right now. I NEED the calories. Have you seen my baby lately? He is hungry and I feed him about every 3 hours. So the only thing that I feel comfortable cutting out is the extra sugar and sweets that have so easily become a part of my daily routine.
It is funny because yesterday was kind of rough. I had only been up for a few hours before I started to tell Phil that I needed something sweet! I couldn't believe it! Could I possibly be addicted to sugar? Luckily we have a bunch of apples on hand because when I start to think that I need a sweet I just have an apple. So far crisis averted. Can I keep this up until graduation?
Luke and I did a happy dance!

Some of my clothes are growing out of me...
**Disclaimer: I am not trying to show off or anything. I just think that it is funny that I am wearing these every day because they are the only pair of shorts that I brought!
Phil took this photo of me yesterday. I know that these were a little on the roomy side when we came but now they are falling off of me! I have to really cinch my belt in to keep these puppies up! It is a bit of a pain but also pretty exciting considering that we have been eating whatever we want! I guess all of our walking around has paid off. Just another reason that I am excited to get home and try on some of my prepregnancy clothes! My goal was to fit back in to some of them by the end of the summer. I can't wait to see if I accomplished my goal!
Oh, I should also make it known that my mom and I made daily trips to work out at Curves For Women for much of May and June. I really enjoyed the work out and I think that it really works! I am considering joining Curves when I get back to Bloomington.
