The Reality of Real Estate

Monday night was the debut of the real estate reality show that we have been filming! Some of you watched it and if you missed it you can watch part 1 of our episode here.

Here we are all official watching ourselves.

Right before the show started I felt a twinge of nervousness. Seeing yourself on tv can be very humbling...

I feel like I have a better understanding now of reality television shows in general. Let me tell you that some of what we did really was real and some if it was ACTING. For some scenes, we would tape our real reaction and interacting and then they would say "Okay, now let's do that again from another angle!" So it is what it is. And just so the suspense isn't too intense for you (the conclusion of our episode will not run until later this month) we filmed our house after we had already bought it, made renovations, and moved in! All for the glory of television. Ahhhhh!

We taped the last scenes from the conclusion on Thursday. Let's just say that there was some major acting going on in this one. Every scene had to be recreated because it includes things like the closing and moving-in which we did for real 2 months ago. So just a warning that we are not ACTORS! I am axious to see how that one plays out? We will see.

All premiers should include foods of the highest gourmet! Jellybeans!

Phil censors and controls all of the flavors. I am not sure why but that is where we are in this family relationship?! He took on the role of jellybean dispenser. Thankfully too. It is a bit alarming to think that you are going to be biting into an espresso flavored bean and it turns out to be black licorice! Oy vey!

We did not watch it alone...these guys were there too! 1,000 points to you if you can name all of these "guys"

The Reality of Real Estate

We have exciting news!

The past two days we have been filming an episode of a new show called "The Reality of Real Estate" They just started airing this past Monday at 7:30 on ABC (the local Ft. Wayne ABC channel 21) You can see a glimpse of the first episode here if you missed it! Our episode will be a two part show airing at the beginning of July. We will keep you posted on the exact dates so that you can watch us! He he!!

We started the day Monday morning filming some footage at my parents house. Here is Phil getting his mic pack.

The camera guy even rode with us in our car to get some driving footage. So cool!

Here we are filming at Lake City Bank to reenact our mortgage experience! We have had so much fun the past two days hanging out with our Realtor Justin Heflin and the awesome production crew. We have also learned a lot about the reality filming process! I didn't really think that we would ever be a part of reality t.v. but I guess you just never know. Life can be funny like that.

Every day is an adventure for sure! I will keep you posted on the airing times of our episode! You know that I will.
