Monday Monday

Hello out there! It is Monday. Phil had class this morning from 9-12:30 which is 3-6:30am Indiana time! It is so weird to think of it that way. I usually don't but Phil likes to bring it up every now and then. I am finally feeling better today. My eyes are much better and my sore throat and sinus pressure are almost gone! I only have one more day of antibiotics which is a great thing. It is this large white pill that I have to let dissolve in my mouth and of course it tastes horrible. I didn't notice it so much when I could not taste but now it is hard to bear!

We didn't do a whole lot today. When Phil got home from class we fed Luke his lunch and had lunch for ourselves. Luke has had kind of a rough day. We think that he might actually be teething for real this time! He has been so fussy which is totally out of character for him. We still don't see any teeth and we can't really feel anything but his lower gums do seem a little swollen and he is chewing like crazy.

Luke had a nice long afternoon nap and Phil and I got to nap too! After we all woke up we decided to do a little bit of exploring in our neighbor hood. We walked over to the Mono Prix which is a department store that has a grocery store in the basement. We wandered around and looked in the different departments. The stores in Paris are so oddly organized! There are lightbulbs next to
the toys and laundry soap next to the coffee makers! We did make a few purchases for Luke. We got him a Sack'n Seat which is a fabric pocket that holds babies up in adult chairs. We
desperately needed something like this for his feedings. We also got a rain shield for his stroller. Unfortunately we already have one but we left it in Bloomington which does us no good here. It is a good thing that we did get it because the forecast is calling for rain every day for the rest of the week!

I made Cheesy Potato and Sausage Casserole for supper and broccoli. It was definitely different than what I make at home. The potatoes were different, the sausage was unidentifiable and so was the cheese! At least it tasted pretty good. I know that Phil really liked it. It seems like there is no yellow or orange cheese here. No cheddar? Too bad! I keep buying the Gouda because I know what it is and I LOVE it so much!

Right before supper we talked with my mom over the Yahoo instant messenger and used our web cams. It is pretty cool that you can communicate this way for free and see each other half a world away! We talked for almost 45 minutes. If anyone else has a web cam and you want to talk please let us know!!!!!! We can try to coordinate a time.

Excellent news from Paris...cheesy potatoes and sausages are good no matter what colour! Give the boy a big dollup or two for me.
