Paris: Day 5

Phil officially started his classes today! So the readings begin. In the morning Luke played with his toys on the floor and I did some laundry. I still have not figured out the best way to use the washer/dryer. It is labeled in French of course and we do know the words now but we still cannot figure it out. It takes almost 2 hours to do one small load and then the clothes have to hang up everything to dry. I have to be creative in that area. Then it takes nearly all day for the clothes to dry! This is something that I will not miss!

When Phil came home from class he mentioned that I should try and see a doctor since I was not feeling better. I decided that was a good idea since I have been feeling so lousy. K-Rae made me an appointment at 5:15pm. We walked down to the department store BHV and walked around. It has 8 floors of retail! It really is like no other place that we have ever shopped. It is like a Macy's/Walmart/Home Depot/Ikea/Toy Store! I can't wait to go back again and again!!!!

My doctor appointment went well. The doctor did speak some English although he spoke more than he understood. I have an ear infection and need no antibiotics. His office was so funny. There was a random waiting room outside his office and no place to check-in. We didn't even know if we were in the right place until he came and told me to come. His office was like a business executive's office. I thought we were in the wrong place entirely. He asked me some questions and then told me to come with him again. There was an exam table behind a curtain that I hadn't noticed. Hopefully he really was a legitimate doctor. We payed him 30 Euros cash and were out the door in less than 15 minutes.

On the walk home we picked up a rotisserie chicken and potatoes for supper. Oh my goodness the potatoes were so good. I definitely want to get some more!

The butcher's shop where we purchased dinner!

Our dinner waiting for us!

Yummy!!!

Luke playing with a new mouse (and bebe mouse)!

Luke finally sleeping in his pea pod after having only 1 nap before 8 pm!!! Thank goodness!
